The dark pop princess is crafting a comeback.
We haven't heard much from the Pure Heroine singer since her collaboration with Disclosure on the gravity defying house track "Magnets," and her contribution for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, "Yellow Flicker Beat," but it won't be long now until we hear new tunes from the dark pop princess.
Over the weekend, Lorde shared a photo of her in the recording studio.
"it's summer in the studio too," she captioned the photo.
Fans had a shot hearing new music from Lorde on Iggy Azalea's upcoming album Digital Distortion, but according to Iggy, the 19-year-old was "too busy with her own album."
“I almost collaborated with Lorde on this album! I sent her the song and it didn’t get done in time, but it’s one of my artistic goals to collaborate with her,” Azalea told Remix magazine back in March. “There’s this one song I wrote for the album but it needed a female singer and she was my number one. She was going to do it, she was totally keen, but she was too busy with her own album.”
She adds, “I hope it can happen, if not on this album then another. I think she’s awesome.”
