Quite the appropriate vibe she's relaying in "Working Girl," a body of work she says is "about the pressures of ambition and defining success, faking it till you make it and finding your inner strength."
Boots uses peculiar computerized instrumentation to accompany her breathy vocals, creating a mild techno overlay that backs the futuristic synths. The outstanding dream sequence towards the end continuously builds before climaxing into the chorus, a shining moment on her third single release. Previously, the working girl shared the album's title track and the record's lead single for "Better In The Morning."
