Iggy Azalea is teaming up with Atlanta producer Verse Simmonds on her upcoming album Digital Distortion.
Earlier this year, Azalea announced plans to drop her forthcoming studio album this summer, but after a lukewarm reaction to her record's lead single "Team" and a breakup from ex-fiance Nick Young, Azalea held off. The delay allowed Iggy to record collaborations with producer Zedd and rapper French Montana. The latter should get the music video treatment when the time is right.
Azalea is also aligning herself with Verse Simmonds, the song scientist behind Rihanna's "Man Down" and Kanye West and Jay Z's "Who Gon Stop Me." Simmonds posted a little preview of their collaboration together, and some listeners think it's reminiscent of something Azealia Banks would record. The clip also features a bit of awkward dancing from Iggy.

Reports claimed the record would drop in August, but we're nearing the end of the month and there's no sign it will. "My album is finished, but I've been blindsided by a lot of things happening in my personal life recently," she previously told Las Vegas Weekly when asked if the record would debut in August. "[I] just needed to have some me time to get my life in order and process the changes that are happening in my private life.
