Duran Duran returns with an original throwback feature-filled single.
Duran Duran embrace their inner ’80s with a colorful uptempo jam titled “Pressure Off” featuring Janelle Monae And Nile Rodgers off their new record Paper Gods.
Their new record aims to “capture the duality and sense of conflict at the heart of Duran Duran’s music.” Bassist John Taylor elaborated, saying, “It really goes back to that strange early Duran mix: the hard-edged pop, coexisting with this dark, weird, experimental side.”
The catchy lead single off their 14th-studio album is a catchy combination of funkadelic synths and pure pop fun. Monae’s vocals add a lightness to the tune, and sees production from Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Mr. Hudson and Josh Blair.
By the way, Lindsay Lohan will appear on their new record, so get ready for that.
