Lily Allen's visual for her cover of Rufus Wainwright's "Going To A Town" aimed against President Trump will send chills down your spine.
This morning (Jan. 24), Donald Trump signed five more executive actions to speed approvals of high-profile energy projects like the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, USA Today reports. Though millions of people around the world marched in unity to protest the newly-elected President this past weekend, Trump continues to take steps towards furthering the world into disarray.
Which brings us to Lily Allen, who teamed up with Mark Ronson on a cover of Rufus Wainwright's "Going To A Town." With it, she premiered a black and white video that highlights the recent anti-Trump protests/Women's Marches, showing signs that read: "No To Trump," "Dump Trump" and "Fight Bigotry."
Of course Allen had no way of knowing the extreme measures Trump would take today to reverse Obama's stopping of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, but unfortunately we live in an era where the orange monster will make many, many unfortunate decisions.
Lily also made a Trump playlist on Spotify titled "he’s got the whole world, in his tiny hands," which features Johnny Cash’s ‘Orange Blossom Special’, Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’, The Clash’s ‘Straight to Hell’ and LCD Soundsystem’s ‘North American Scum.’ She also included a couple of her own, like ‘Him’ and ‘Fuck You’.
