Lea's sophomore studio album, Places, is out in two short weeks (April 28).
She's already shared a good chunk of it thus far, including “Love Is Alive,”“Anything’s Possible” and “Run To You.”
This week, the singer reintroduced another tender ballad from the LP. It’s titled “Getaway Car,” and she sang it as a duet with her Glee co-star Darren Criss.
When Lea first performed the track at an intimate show in L.A. back in January, she said the song was about her and her SO running from the mundane. “We used to just get in the car and drive sometimes. Me and the tall guy and it was like our getaway and it was so great,” she said. “Everything was getting big and popular with Glee and it was sort of our escape. So this next song is called ‘Getaway Car’ and it’s having that moment in the car.”
They also performed "Lost Boys Life, the title track from an EP Criss released last month with his new band Computer Games, as well as The Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me,” their first Glee duet together. Take a sip of red wine with Lea and dive in:
