Lady Gaga says what Dr. Luke censoring Kesha should be illegal.
Lady Gaga stands up for Kesha.
Earlier this week, news broke Dr. Luke blocked Kesha from performing at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday after he bought into speculation it was a "statement" piece over their legal scandal.
BUT HOW? HOW CAN HE DO THIS?
Kesha clarified later she planned to cover Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe," and that it had nothing to do with Luke. "I'm very sad and sorry to say I won't be allowed to do this," she said. "I just wanted to make very clear that this performance was about me honoring one of my favorite songwriters of all time and has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke." She ended up performing it Wednesday night at singer Ben Folds' L.A. concert, but only because she was barred from Billboard.
Now Gaga is speaking out, saying what Luke is capable of doing should be a crime. She Tweeted: "Isn't it strange that it's legal to own a woman this way? Listen Ursula, we want her voice back. #freeKesha"
