Joanne's going jazz.
Lady Gaga is hanging up her pink hat for a night to perform a string of jazz classics from Cheek To Cheek, her No. 1 charting joint album with the legendary Tony Bennett.
Lady Gaga's & Tony Bennett's Jazz Follow-Up Features Cole Porter Classics
Those lucky enough to attend the black-tie event, dubbed “An Intimate Evening with Lady Gaga” at the Encore Theater on Dec. 30, could hear Mother Monster sing "Lush Life,” "It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)” and “Anything Goes” off Cheek To Cheek, as well as reinterpretations of some of her iconic hits, including "Bad Romance." Gaga, with help from jazz trumpeter Brian Newman (who is featured on the Gaga-Bennett collaborative album as well as Joanne), will likely take the opportunity to transform several cuts from her recent LP into jazzy standards as well. And perhaps she'll even throw in a rendition of “New York, New York,” a cover she tackled at the Sinatra 100 – An All-Star Grammy Concert CBS-TV special held at the very same theater last year.
Tickets range from $1000-$1500.
