Lady Gaga Postpones Montreal Joanne Show

Life on the road has caught up with Lady Gaga.

Touring non stop for weeks on end is one of the most grueling endeavors an artist embarks on, and sometimes it takes its toll. Lady Gaga was scheduled to perform in the Bell Centre in Montreal on Monday (Sep. 4), but was force to cancel due to a respiratory infection and laryngitis.

“To my beautiful fans. I couldn’t be more devastated that I am unable to perform tonight,” she wrote on Twitter. “I sing this entire show live, and pride myself on giving it all, but when I sang in the rain at Citi Field I got sick and have been pushing through."

"I am so sorry to anyone who had their heart set on seeing me tonight. I love you."

Gaga was so upset about the cancellation she promised the fans waiting outside her hotel they'd get free pizza.

Live Nation had this to say in a release:

“Hoping not to disappoint her fans, Lady Gaga took today to rest but unfortunately, has now been instructed by her doctor that she will need to reschedule this evening’s show due to respiratory infection and laryngitis. As the tour is currently working on rescheduling the performance, fans should hold onto their existing tickets pending additional information.”

It wasn't an entirely bad day for Gaga. The pop star wished Beyonce a happy birthday and took a stroll down memory lane. Rest up, Mama Monster.

Gaga is next scheduled to perform on Wednesday and Thursday in Toronto at Air Canada Center.

Get well soon, Gaga!
