Lady Gaga On The State Of Music, Tony Bennett, Taylor Swift & Her Dark Past

On producers forcing themselves on her:

"I went through some horrific things," Gaga said when Stern mentions he thinks she was raped. "I'm able to laugh now because I've gone through a lot of mental, physical and emotional therapy to heal over the years."

She said she was a shell of her former self years later after reflecting.

“It happens every day and it’s really scary and sad,” Gaga continued. “It didn’t affect me as much right after as it did about four or five years later.” Her reason for not calling out her attacker? “I wasn’t even willing to admit that anything had even happened. I don’t want to be defined by it.”

Stern pushed further: "I wasn't even willing to admit that anything had even happened," Gaga said. "I saw him one time in a store, and I was paralyzed by fear."

Lady Gaga denies it's producer Dr. Luke after Kesha's lawyers today claimed he, too, allegedly raped the "ARTPOP" singer.

On the music industry:

"The music industry truth to be told is in a completely shit state. I personally think that streaming... we're going to have to get to a place where it's not what it is now. It's taking away the specialness of the music and the sacredness of music. It's more about the perception of the way we're growing to look at artists and to experience music. It's too much like fast food."

On Taylor Swift:

“I’ve met her a few times and I can’t say anything bad about her.”

She says they met at the AMA's and Taylor told Gaga she loved "ARTPOP." Gaga admitted she thought she was "full of shit," but found out from her stylist friend later Taylor was blasting it during one of her photoshoots. "I said to myself: 'I like this girl.' She said the same thing to my face as she did behind my back."
