Lady Gaga Live-Premieres New Song “The Cure” At Coachella, Releases Studio Version

Lady Gaga has the cure.

During Lady Gaga's 90-minute show at Coachella in Indio, CA on Saturday (April 15), the pop star pulled out all the stops. She brought back a ton of the classics, including "Just Dance," "Alejandro," "Telephone" and a brand new song: "The Cure."

Before live-premiereing the new DJ White Shadow-produced song, Gaga admitted she had trouble keeping the next part of her show a secret. In recent weeks, Gaga hasn't been shy about venturing back into the recording studio, but no one knew exactly why... until now. "I've been so excited for this next part of the show because I've been trying to keep it a secret for so long," she told the audience of more than one hundred thousand. "I've been in the studio and I'd like to debut a brand new song."

The track isn't something you'd expect to hear off Joanne, which makes me wonder if she's planning a followup album, or simply wanted a one-off to share at the festival. Whatever inspired her to drop an airy new tune, it's very special.

Watch the performance then listen to the studio version which she released following the show below:
