UPDATE // AUGUST 7: Gaga posted a new message promoting the Black Lives Matter movement, this time in light of the fatal shooting of black 18-year-old Paul O'Neal. Video footage shows police firing repeatedly at a stolen car driven by O'Neal frantically driving away from officers after a foot chase through a residential neighborhood in the city's South Shore neighborhood, CBS reports.
"Paul O'neal. #BlackLivesMatter," she wrote. "How many children & adults must we lose b4 our justice system does something? #Chicago #USA"

Despite heartbreak, Lady Gaga is still spreading love.
Following reports her and Taylor Kinney split, Gaga cleared the air. She wrote a touching letter to fans revealing she and Kinney are soulmates, but life in the fast lane is forcing them apart and could use some support. Gaga is an outspoken supporter for an array of ongoing social issues plaguing the world. She gave an emotional speech following the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, sat down with the Dalai Lama to promote peace and has plans to perform at the Democratic National Convention.
