UPDATE // FEBRUARY 24:
No, Lady Gaga and director Brett Ratner are not teaming up for an upcoming Joanne music video. The pop star revealed The Love Project is a campaign collaboration between her Born This Way Foundation and Revlon to promote... you guessed it, love.
"I'm so proud Born This Way Foundation and I are partnering with #theloveproject2017," Gaga said on Facebook. "Show us your #lovein3words."
“The Love Project is the beginning of a social movement which aims to inspire more love, acceptance and caring in the world,” Carlos Barreto, Revlon Senior Vice President Marketing, said in a statement to People. “At the heart of this campaign is the belief that all people are beautiful and that love can create a better world.”
A commercial for the campaign featuring Gaga, Pharrell Williams and Ellen DeGeneres will air during the Oscars this Sunday. In an effort to raise money for WHA, the Born This Way Foundation, From One Hand to AnOther and the Trevor Project (in addition to the $1 million Revlon has committed), the three stars will share what love means to them.
EARLIER // FEBRUARY 21:
Lady Gaga is all about love.
So much so, she's involved in a super-secretive project with director Brett Ratner dubbed #TheloveProject.
If you're not familiar with Ratner's work, he's directed a bunch of movies and television shows, including X-Men: The Last Stand, the Rush Hour series, Jersey Boys and Prison Break. But it's not likely Gaga and Ratner are teaming up for a film; her schedule is all booked up shooting the remake for A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper until The Joanne World Tour kicks off in August.
Perhaps it's the next video off Joanne?
Ratner has famously directed music videos for Mariah Carey (“We Belong Together,” “Infinity,” “Obsessed”), Michael Jackson ("Unbreakable"), Jessica Simpson ("A Public Affair”) and Miley Cyrus (“7 Things”).
Is a "Diamond Heart" video upon us? Check out the selfie Ratner shared on Instagram:
Also, fierce bangs, Gaga.
