Labor Day BH Buzz: Nick Jonas' New Song Might Be About Selena Gomez

■ Nick Jonas’ new song “Area Code” might be about Selena Gomez…? That’s the rumor anyhow, no thanks to some choice lyrics in the song that might play off Gomez’s recent “Good For You” single (“You say I’ve never been good for you / You can’t deny I gave it good to you”).

Jonas added fuel to the fire when he favorited the following Tweets:

Jonas and Gomez dated briefly back in the day, and even shied away from talking about her to Capital FM after the two were spotted together earlier this year.

“We were both with separate groups of friends and we ran into each other,” he said. “I put a dinner together with a bunch of really great people, like the Haim girls, who I love. It was a big group of people and we all hung out and had a good time. We connect in that sense.”

When he was asked if he’d consider getting back together with Gomez, Jonas responded, “It was nice to connect and just catch up. I’ll leave that there.”

Meanwhile, a source told HollywoodLife she never saw it coming. “Selena was blindsided by Nick’s reference about her on’ Area Code.’ She had absolutely no idea that he was going to drop that into a record and is a little surprised Nick would do something like that, especially because they have mutual friends in common.”

We’re onto you Jomez.

■ Taylor Swift rocked a sweater someone knitted with her picture on it, though she doesn’t know who to thank. She posted a snap of it on Instagram, saying “Someone knitted this sweater for me of a Polaroid of myself and gave it to my mom tonight at the show.
It has very quickly become my everything.
Thank you, mysterious knitter.”

The Weeknd‘s “Beauty Behind The Madness” debuted at No. 1 this week with 412,000 units moved, giving him the second biggest debut of 2015 (behind Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late with 535,000 units).

Sia‘s upcoming record titled “This Is Acting” is a bunch of songs other artists rejected, including her lead single named “Alive” which was originally meant for Adele, but turned it down last minute.

“It’s about [her] life, so now I sing the song from [her] perspective,” Sia told RTVSlo.

Sia adds, “I have these songs made and they have [been] rejected, but [they] seemed… good, so I kept [them for] myself.”

■ Justin Bieber randomly dropped into a bar in Angola, Indiana on Saturday (Sept. 4) and randomly played the drums. “He just looked like a normal kid in the bar, except for the hat and hoodie,” band member Heidi Herber told the local news. “We had no idea [he was going to be there], in fact, he was one of the first people in bar.”
