SAW was nervous about remixing a Kylie Minogue song written by Chris Martin, but they did the track justice.
Kylie Minogue's everyday was ordinary, so she enlisted the help of Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman to remix "Everyday Is Christmas."
The trio, better known as Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW), helped Minogue launch her career 25 years ago with songs like “Better The Devil You Know” and "I Should Be So Lucky," and they're not done assisting the Christmas Queen. They took a stab at transforming the gorgeous holiday song, and the result is extraordinary.
SAW said, “25 years is a hell of long time since we last worked together. But over the past couple of weeks, it’s like we’ve never been away. Working together on the Kylie record has been a hoot and it’s been a real blast making music again!”
“I did worry about tampering with a Chris Martin song in any way,” Waterman told The Sun. “I wasn’t sure Chris Martin and Stock Aitken Waterman would be easy bedfellows but he said it was fine.”
Everything's fine. Listen below:
