There was no escaping Kiesza's massive debut single "Hideaway" in 2014 as she helped kickstart the house music resurgence in Europe and went on to become pop music's hottest new kid on the block.
Now three years on the Canadian songstress returns with a new single and a new sound. "Dearly Beloved" is the lead single from her upcoming sophomore LP and is produced by Stuart Price - two words: Madonna, "Confessions".
The video for "Dearly Beloved" sees the singer perform the track with a white guitar wearing a very colourful outfit in a very white room, and it seems the white guitar is sentimental to her.
"When my best friend Alice passed away nearly a year and a half ago, her white electric guitar was passed along to me. In her memory and because I love her so much, I promised myself that I would not let it sit in its case collecting dust," she explains in the video's description.
"I was going to play the hell out of it, just as she would have done. So that’s what I’m doing. Inspired by her and all of you, I am absolutely ecstatic to be able to start off this new chapter with my new song, Dearly Beloved."
