Britney Spears has made Kevin Federline sign a pre-nuptial deal to stop him getting his hands on her £60 million fortune. The singer finally bowed to pressure from her family, who feared her husband would try to cash in if the marriage hit the rocks reports the Daily StarBritney, 22, at first refused to force Kevin to sign up, saying they were "truly in love" and would never split. But her legal team stepped in to point out to the star that she could be left broke. Spears - who married Kevin, 26, at the weekend - was told that if she walked out on him, he could get half of her earnings. A source close to the Spears family said: "Britney thought the idea of a pre-nup was vile, because she is loved-up with Kevin and cannot envisage breaking up. However, it was made clear to her that no one in Hollywood these days get married without brokering a deal. "She finally agreed that she ought to protect her fortune. She had a long chat with Kevin and he was cool about it. "Back in January, Britney wed her childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander in a quickie wedding in Las Vegas. That marriage was annulled after just 55 hours. The couple did not sign a pre-nup and Brit handed over a lump sum and an £80,000 Porsche as "sweetener". The couple - now staying at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles - are expected to jet off on honeymoon in the next few days. Thanks Tina.
