Kesha says her current situation is "pretty devastating."
Season two of Viceland's Noisey included an afternoon with Kesha in her hometown of Nashville, giving viewers an insight into the highs and lows of her current life in the biz.
The clip, which was filmed ahead of per performance at the historic Ryman for a Bob Dylan birthday tribute, featured a scene of Kesha playing a game of pool at one of her favorite dive bars, sharing a couple laughs and admitting pop music is her guilty pleasure, but things got emotional when asked about the last several months. The "Tik Tok" singer is currently embroiled in an ongoing sexual assault lawsuit with producer Dr. Luke.
“When you’ve worked hard for something then to have it taken away from you is really devastating. I worked my ass off for a lot of years. I sang backup vocals. And the first couple of songs I didn’t get credit for. But I didn’t give a f**k, because I had this one vision. So, once you earn that and to have it taken away from you is pretty devastating,” Kesha says.
She pauses, then cries.
