Kendrick Lamar Plays Mind Games In The “DNA” Video

Kendrick Lamar shows us who's boss in the music video for "DNA."

It's a great week for K-Dot. His new album DAMN. is on track to top the Billboard 200 chart next week with 475,000 equivalent album units, and the record gets a second visual today (April 18) for "DNA."

Directed by Nabil and The Little Homies, Kendrick is seen chained to a table in a sterile interrogation room. He's hooked up to a polygraph machine run by actor Don Cheadle, but before Cheadle can grill the rapper, Kendrick uses his super powers to take control of his opponent's mind.

From there, the two battle it out – taking turns rapping the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced track. Eventually, Kendrick tires of this and brings Cheadle to his knees after an eerie proclamation. Kendrick escapes and takes the viewer on a furious but brief ride through his past. As Rap-Up points out, that includes a spat with the paparazzi, playing pool below a framed photo of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg and his seven Grammys, and having lunch with A&R Brocky Marciano. We’re left with a scene of Kendrick and his crew made up of ScHoolboy Q, Smacc the Boss, Traffic, and T.F., among others, mean mugging the lens.

Kendrick is one of a kind. Watch below:
