Former Destiny's Child singer is putting the finishing touches on her fifth solo album.
It's been three years since Kelly Rowland released an album and it appears she's been hard at work ever since.
Rowland has revealed in a recent interview that she'll be dropping new material as soon as next month!
"I've recorded 45 songs to be completely honest, the challenge for me right now is solidifying like exactly what sound that is, I have three different sounds on the table. So I just want to know what that is and I feel like I have two albums...that's not cool, I just need one. I’m actually gearing up for a video right now, actually in rehearsals for a video right now I’m excited about. There’s going to be a video.”
Kelly shot to fame as one fourth, then one third of R&B supergroup Destiny's Child. In 2002, her first solo album spawned the hits Stole, Can't Nobody and, of course, the iconic Nelly duet Dilemma. Her second album was also successful, spawning the hits Work and Like This. Her 3rd album saw an unlikely pairing with David Guetta score the two several hits, Commander and Motivation. Her fourth album, Talk A Good Game, was notable for addressing personal issues such as her jealousy of Beyonce's solo success, and the abuse she suffered at the hands of a former partner.
