Kelly Rowland has been hard at work on her fifth studio album for some time now. Just this week, the singer was spotted in the recording studio with 6LACK, Khalid and Quiñ (more details about that here). Previous to that, Rowland revealed a collaboration with David Guetta. Now the child of destiny is announcing a tentative timeline: some time in 2017. Hey, we'll take what we can get. Kelly also says her son Titan inspired the entire thing. "He's inspired the whole record in the sense that… just being bold," she said during her chat on Access Hollywood, "and being great and just throwing fear out the window cause there’s no time for it.”
In a separate interview, KR said to expect a record full of up-tempos. "A lot of my albums and songs have been slow, except for tracks like 'Commander' or 'When Love Takes Over.' I said I wanted this record to be happy because we need that right now, more than ever."
