Over the weekend, Donald Trump said he could shoot someone in the middle of New York's Fifth Avenue and not lose any votes in the upcoming Presidential election, and it got Bette Midler up in arms.
“They say I have the most loyal people, did you see that?” Trump said. “Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like, incredible.”
How can we live with a POTUS for four years who says things like "I could walk down Fifth Ave., shoot someone, and still not lose any votes?

Clarkson shared a similar sentiment to Midler, responding by saying "I am legitimately frightened for our nation."

In case you missed Trump blabbing that, watch it here on loop, because once is not enough.
Trump backtracked since, telling CNN "of course, I was joking."
In a nation plagued by gun violence, is it something to joke about?
