Katy Perry Unleashes “Chained” Remix By Oliver Heldens, Announces Wango Tango Performance

When you wear rose colored glasses to the club.

Perry unleashed yet another remix of her KP4 lead single "Chained To The Rhythm," this time by Oliver Heldens (it follows one with Lil Yachty and another by Hot Chip). If you're looking for a thumping bass bumper, this is it. Unfortunately, it's entirely uninspired. Heldens' take on the track is generic and straight forward. I appreciate the '90s-esque Jock Jams vibe, but I fear that's unintentional. Really though, Jock Jams was the shit.

Earlier today, Bruno Mars released a remix of "That's What I Like" featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR. If you're going to release a re-working of your song, that's how you do it. And surprisingly, Perry is promoting this. "For my club kids making your weekend playlists," she Tweeted along with a link to listen. This is not the purposeful pop I hoped for.

Meanwhile, the pop star also announced plans to perform at Wango Tango in May. She joins Maroon 5, Camila Cabello, Niall Horan, Zedd, Machine Gun Kelly, Noah Cyrus, Halsey, Julia Michaels and Alessia Cara.
