Perry enlisted the help of GLUU to create the digital avatar. The company are also the masterminds behind Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which earned more than $75 million in 2014 revenues since its release in June of that year, as well as Britney Spears' upcoming game out in 2016.
The "Prism" singer's game is said to "introduce players to a digital playground of global success and talent" and will include Perry's voice, likeness and personality.
On Wednesday (Oct. 14), Perry revealed her character for the "Katy Perry Pop" game via Instagram, saying "Introducing the cartoon version of me in my new game #KatyPerryPop! We’ve been working on this game for over a year now. I’ve created the most fun, colorful world that helps guide your musical dreams. App coming soon!"
