Katy Perry performed "Chained To The Rhythm" with Skip Marley at the BRIT Awards.
Surrounded by dancing houses and gargantuan skeleton (representations of President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Theresa May), Katy Perry wandered around the stage for the performance of her recent single featuring Bob Marley's grandson. Labeling the new era 'purposeful pop,' Perry is attempting to instill an important message: to take our head out of the sand and wake up to the volatile social and political climate the world is embroiled in. Unfortunately, the call to action falls flat when the creativity we're used to seeing from her isn't up to par. Perry shook her head at the end of the performance. Even she knows something's not right.
