Kanye West predictably chooses his Rihanna collaboration "Famous" as the lead single off The Life Of Pablo.
Typically, an artist selects a single to promote ahead of their album release, but Kanye West defies the norm. His latest record is a living work of art that he's continued updating on TIDAL since its debut (most recently, "Wolves"). Before it dropped, TLOP made waves for the song Kanye's choosing to highlight, "Famous," because it took fire for no apparent reason at Taylor Swift with the lyric: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b*tch famous."
Kanye claimed T Swift was cool with the lyric and gave her a heads up prior, but her spokesperson since spoke out, clarifying that not only did Swift disagree with the song but was not aware about the inclusion of the lyric: "I made that b*tch famous":
The controversy surrounding the song eclipsed Rihanna's feature entirely at the time, but now that "Kiss It Better" singer is dominating the charts with her latest album ANTi and its lead single "Work," Kanye has decided to jump on the wave (TIDAL pun) and promote their collaboration together.
Below is the promotional art for it.
Maybe he'll update the song as well?
