Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels brought out Yeezus as a surprise to those in attendance at the Summit today to "say a few words" (hint: they didn't include "Beyoncé" and "had one of the best videos of all time"). Ye began recounting his career path to help influence the new acts that are on the rise, which included that time he asked Paul McCartney how good... kitty... tasted in the 60's. Uh...?
That's when things took an interesting turn. Kanye plugged in his laptop and just began playing his new song that features Rihanna (!!!!!!). Ye said the song is about to be released before he unplugged his laptop and stopped playing the song that would end the Barbados Queen drought.
The song is confirmed to be released as Kanye's next single from his upcoming album and it has help from Paul McCartney and Ty Dolla $ign. But more importantly, it will be the first proper release of a Rihanna song since 2013 (we'll just act like "Can't Remember to Forget You" never happened).
Will this RihYe collab be the best one yet? Let us know in Exhale!
