Justin Timberlake is back at the top of the charts (where he belongs).
JT released his Trolls movie soundtrack lead single "Can't Stop The Feeling" two Fridays ago, and it's remained the top song on the iTunes songs chart since, so it's no surprise he knocked Drake's "One Dance" from the No. 1 spot this week.
Billboard reports the song received 379,000 downloads and 15.6 million U.S. streams.
"Feeling" starts at the Hot 100's summit powered most heavily by its concurrent No. 1 debut on the Digital Songs sales chart (where it's Timberlake's sixth leader), having sold 379,000 downloads in its first week (ending May 12), according to Nielsen Music. Timberlake scores his highest weekly sales total for a song, besting the 315,000-unit start for "Suit & Tie," featuring Jay Z, in 2013.
JT now holds the title for the best weekly sales for any song this year and the most since Adele's "Hello" in 2015 (480,000).
This marks JT's fifth solo No. 1 on the Hot 100. His previous four includes 2006's "SexyBack" and "My Love" featuring T.I., "What Goes Around…Comes Around" in 2007 and "Give It to Me," by Timbaland featuring him and Nelly Furtado also in 2007.
