Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” Debuts At No. 1

Congratulations are in order for Justin Bieber!

The 21-year-old singer scores his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with “What Do You Mean” this week, moving 337,000 in sales. It’s an incredible feat for Bieber, who’s second highest charting song was 2012’s “Boyfriend” at No. 2 and is only the 23rd song ever to open at No. 1 in the chart’s 57-year history.

Over the holiday weekend, another song presumably from his forthcoming record out Nov. 13, titled “Perfect Together,” resurfaced. It’s another mellow and friendly tune with the makings fit for radio play, as is his other leaked song titled “California Cruisin”.

Earlier this year, Justin Bieber was one of the world’s most laughable pop stars due to his immature antics, but after the Calvin Klein photoshop scandal, Bieber realized he’d have to make amends and grow up if he was to be considered a serious artist again.

After a lengthy apology tour, a roast, many interviews, several surprise one-off performances and his hit with Jack Ü, Bieber is back on top.
