Justin Bieber gives a genuine response to his emotional moment after his performance at the VMA's.
During Bieber's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (Sep. 2), the Biebs candidly tells Fallon about how getting rid of the "knuckle heads" and keeping his focus has helped him become the man he wants to be. Using that inspiration, Bieber took the VMA stage with a vengeance, but became so overwhelmed after missing several cues and then feeling the support from the audience after getting booed at the last awards show he was at, he let the emotions flow and sobbed. We feel it was one of the only moments of authenticity of the night, and applaud Bieber for his honesty.
“It was so overwhelming,” Bieber of the VMA's. “I missed some cues so I was a bit disappointed about that. But just the support… I didn’t expect them to support me in the way they did. Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed.”
“I worked so hard at this album… at becoming the man I want to become and stepping into that situation, you just can’t help but feel judged,” he said. “I wanted to win so badly, I just put everything on the line. It was authentic and real… I was just wanting it so bad.”
Bieber also put a country spin on his "Where Are U Now," and it's not only sporadic and hilarious, but carefree.
