Justin Bieber's new electro banger "Friends" is out on Thursday at noon.
Now that the prince of pop is done with touring duties, he's got some free time to craft new tunes. Only a couple of weeks after the Biebs axed the duration of The Purpose Tour, the singer has a new tune on his hands. It's titled "Friends," and was co-written with Julia Michaels (if we are to believe her cryptic Instagram post) and produced by BloodPop (“Mark My Words,” “I’ll Show You,” “Children,” “Hit the Ground,” “Sorry”). A teaser of it is already floating around the Internet (no, sorry, can't link you), and from the low quality clip, it's a club track.
The production oozes slinky synths and a sticky beat while Justin sings, "Can we still be friends?" It's also got that signature warbly chipmunk voice that seems to force itself onto any mainstream house track ever. But the most important piece of the puzzle? It has major potential for the DJs to transform it into something monstrous.
See the artwork below and keep an eye out for it this Thursday.
