Justin Bieber wants you to know he's completely not threatened by One Direction.
Bieber's Promise and 1D's Made In The A.M. drop on Nov. 13, and according to the Biebs, the band chose the same release date as him for some extra promo - to get people talking.
In a radio interview with New Zealand's Smash! The Edge last Thursday, Bieber said: "They're not really going on the road much, but we're talking about them right now, so it gives them some promo, right? So, that’s probably why they did it... I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first."
And for the record, it doesn't phase him. "But whatever. It's whatever. It's going to be fun. I'm excited to see what happens."
Previous to this, Bieber posted a video on SnapChat taunting the band, making an 'I'm scared' expression and saying: "the face you make when you come out with an album the same day as Justin Bieber.”

In the same interview with Smash!, Bieber played a bit of his new single "No Pressure," but label execs forced the show to destroy any taping of it.
