Justin Bieber is facing some Internet backlash for not accepting a young fan's request for a hug.
While shopping at Barney's after the launch of his Purpose line this week, Bieber was asked by a teen girl fan for a hug, to which he robotically responded "no."
Because the Internet is growing tired of the Kanye West / Taylor Swift feud, there attention has turned back to Bieber, criticizing the 22-year-old for acting like a punk.
Bieber shouldn't be expected to fulfill every fan demand, otherwise he'd literally have no free time, but the timing is terrible. In recent months, Bieber got into a fight with a dude in Cleveland who apparently just wanted an autograph, ran from fans at a park, cancelled all future meet and greets and most recently, told a fan who tossed a hat on stage that he didn't want that shit.
Earlier this year, Bieber posted a note on Instagram confessing the spontaneous fan interaction is exhausting.
“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture," he said. "I’m done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human. I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to to keep my sanity. I realize people will be disappointed, but I don’t owe anybody a picture. And people who say, ‘But I bought ur album,” know that you got my album and you got what you paid for… AN ALBUM! It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo.”
