Ciara faces a setback in the custody battle with ex-Future over their son Future Zahir Wilburn.
Cici showed up to court on Monday to explain to the judge Future is a bad parent to their son and wanted full custody, but the judge wasn't buying it.
Per TMZ, Future also showed up and asked for joint custody, and the judge agreed.
In February, Cici filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against Future for public slander. He called her a bad mother. Future filed a countersuit which he claims that even though the singer is "reasonably large," her last album, Jackie, was a "flop," so she doesn't have enough hype around her to even warrant any slander to her rep.
Ciara must prove Future's words caused her irreparable harm to her personal and professional affairs, but Future says “I can’t damage her rep if she doesn’t have one.” His countersuit also mentions she's received very few awards in recent years.
Cici opened up to Essence about her split from Future, saying “That wasn’t necessarily part of my vision, but the moment I realized I was going to be a single mother, I had to reflect and reorganize my thoughts. I decided to trust that God had a plan for me, and move forward one day at a time.”
