John Mayer Defends Justin Bieber’s Decision To Quit The Purpose Tour

John Mayer thinks Justin Bieber's decision to end the Purpose Tour prematurely was wise.

It's no secret: Bieber axed the last 14 shows of his tour because he's over it. Paparazzi caught the pop star walking around in Santa Monica hours after the announcement and asked him point-blank why he decided to cut it short. “Everything’s fine. I’ve been on tour for two years. Yeah, just resting, getting some relaxation. Gonna ride some bikes,” he said. Biebs also offered an apology: “I love you guys. You guys are awesome. And I’m sorry for anybody who feels disappointed or like, betrayed. It’s not in my heart or anything.”

Beliebers who had tickets to see him are outraged, but John Mayer is coming to the rescue. “When someone pulls remaining dates of a tour, it means they would have done real damage to themselves if they kept going,” he Tweeted. “We’ve lost so many great artists lately. I give Justin [two thumbs up] for realizing it was time to call it. You should too.”

You hear that? Justin's decision saved his life.
