Some of music's biggest artists performed at Z100’s Jingle Ball on Friday.
Two of Billboard's Women In Music honorees, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, reunited Friday night at New York's Madison Square Garden. Gomez received the Chart-Topper honor earlier in the day, and she reminded concert-goers why. She charged through her Charli XCX-penned “Same Old Love” then dipped into “Good For You” complete with male dancers and a carefully choreographed number. She also performed her next Revival single, "Hands to Myself," before throwing it back to “Love You Like a Love Song.”
Lovato, Billboard's Rulebreaker honoree, also performed a number of songs from her recent Confident record. She opened her set with “Heart Attack” before jumping into the recent material, including “Confident” and her somber ballad “Stone Cold.” Lovato finished with “Cool For the Summer,” but clumsily tripped over the mic stand. She later Tweeted: "Guys don't you get it by now? Only cool kids fall on stage....."
Now that's confidence!
Other performances of the night included Gomez with Zedd for their collaboration “I Want You to Know,” DNCE, who rocked the house with “Cake By the Ocean” and a cover of Queen’s “We Are the Champions,” The Weeknd, 5 Seconds of Summer, Charlie Puth, Tove Lo, R. City, Conrad Sewell, Hailee Steinfeld, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony and Calvin Harris.
