Producers of the American Music Awards, airing November 22nd on ABC, have confirmed that Jennifer Lopez will be taking over hosting duties of this year's show.
In addition to hosting, the "On the Floor" singer will also be performing at the award show, in anticipation of the start of her "All I Have" residency in Las Vegas, set to kick off in January. This will be the singer's first time hosting an award show, but with her acting experience and telegenic personality, we doubt she will have any trouble taking the reigns as host.
The "Jenny from the Block" singer shared the news with fans and reminisced about her first AMA nomination, tweeting: "From my first @TheAMAs nomination 15 years ago to HOSTING the 2015 #AMAs!
JLo is certainly no stranger to the AMAs stage. Since her first nomination in 2000, Jennifer has appeared at the show many times over the years, performing multiple times and taking home 3 awards for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist and Favorite Latin Artist. Her most recent appareance at the show was at last year's ceremony, when she performed "Booty" alongside Iggy Azalea.
The nominations for this year's AMAs will be announced by Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth on October 13th.
