Jennifer Lopez will honor Selena Quintanilla with a performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
On what would be Selena's 44th birthday, JLo, who famously played the late singer, will honor the Tejano queen.
“People like that don't come along every day,” JLo tells Billboard. “There is never going to be another Selena. The grace with which she handled the business, the grace with which she handled her life, the humor. Her spirit of loving what she did. Her sense of family. That's the tragedy of everything that happened and why she left such an imprint -- because she was gone way too soon.”
No word what songs JLo has in mind, but we imagine it's the classics.
Perhaps "Selena The One" will make her debut on stage with JLo at the awards show? We'll find out April 30 when it airs live on Telemundo.
