Derulo has been hard at work on his forthcoming fifth studio album, and he's about to drop its lead single titled "Swalla" featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign sooner than later.
Though he's teased the party-ready dance track for several months, the official release is near.

During his appearance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, Derulo said it's “a record we need,” adding: “It’s one of those ones that’s gonna get us up and dancing.”
The "Talk Dirty" singer has been recording at his home in L.A.
“It’s just been a much more comfortable experience," Derulo told Billboard of this album's recording process. "And I’m excited to share with you all my ups, my downs, my highs and my lows. Also got to work with a lot of amazing artists. 2017 is ours, Derulo Family. I’m looking forward to a fresh start [in 2017],” he added. “So much negativity in the world in 2016. We can start fresh putting love first. We can’t let our nation be run by racism, greed and abhorrence.”
