Janet Jackson’s “Unbreakable” Debuts At No. 1

Jackson’s new Unbreakable album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It moved 116,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Oct. 8, according to Nielsen Music. Of that sum, the set sold 109,000 in pure album sales, reports Billboard.

It’s an incredible feat for Jackson, who hasn’t released a studio album since 2008’s Discipline, which also debuted at No. 1. Other albums of hers to land at the top include 2001’s All For You, 1997’s The Velvet Rope, 1993’s janet., 1989’s Janet Jackson’sRhythm Nation 1814 and 1986’s Control.
