It all goes down on Sunday night.
All EBT reference jokes aside, the 2015 BET Awards are shaping up to be one hell of a show, especially with the recent batch of performers announced for the Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross-hosted broadcast. On Wednesday (June 24), Billboard exclusively reported that Janelle Monae, Robin Thicke, K. Michelle, Tyga and Jidenna have joined the performance roster, which already includes Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, Big Sean and Meek Mill.
However, the biggest moment of the night will likely belong to Janet Jackson, who will be on site to receive BET’s first ever inaugural Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award. Plus, we can't wait to see Ciara, Jason Derulo and Tinashe perform a special dance tribute to the legendary pop icon.
If that doesn't tickle your fancy, then maybe the list of presenters will do the trick. Kelly Rowland, Washington Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson, Michael Ealy, Sanaa Lathan, Laverne Cox, Michael B. Jordan and Zendaya are all scheduled to take the podium.
All the action goes down live at 8 p.m. EST on June 28 from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
