Katy Perry and Capitol Records sent out an email blast with directions on how to bake the perfect cherry pie. It's the first real clue confirming new music of hers is on the way. Step number six is what gives it away. It reads: "Bon Appétit, baby!"
Perry confirmed the name of the song during an interview with E! News at the Grammys in February. "You're going to have some of that good 'ol Katy Perry, fluffy stuff that you love so much," she said, which included a "pretty sexual" song called "Bon Appétit."
Last week, Perry filmed a music video. If I had to take a guess, the visual is for "Bon Appétit."
The are rumors that the song drops this Friday (April 28) and features Ariana Grande. I'm doubting the Ariana collab, but a Friday release looks imminent. UPDATE: Look at this suspect Tweet from KIIS 106.5. It says new music is on the way from Katy and Ariana with the hashtag #BonAppetit. Ariana is featured on a new song titled "Quit" off Cashmere Cat's forthcoming album 9 that drops on Friday as well. So either Ariana really is featured on the track with Katy, or KIIS' wording is extremely terrible.

The pop star previously shared a snippet of the song. From the mini-clip, it's got that light-hearted party vibe Katy Kats are kraving. Listen to the latest bite-sized teaser below:
