We see you, Jay.
Interestingly, clicking the ads leads you to nowhere – they're static images. Meaning they are eye candy to spark your curiosity. After a bit of digging, fans discovered the source code on the websites that displayed the ads contained the text “tidal-444.” Highly suspect.
4:44 ads also started popping up around New York City (like Times Square and the Jay St stop... get it?) and California this week.
Another conspiracy theory making the rounds? It's Beyonce and Jay Z's highly-anticipated (and very much unconfirmed) collaborative album. One user on Reddit breaks it down for us: “they both have ‘IV’ tattooed on their ring fingers, which is the roman numeral for 4. their fucking DAUGHTER’s middle name is IVY which sounds identical to IV!!!! IVY = IV IV = 4!!!!” I'm calling BS on this, namely because I can't imagine Beyonce promoting a new record weeks or months after giving birth to twins.
Only time will tell, but all signs are pointing to new music from Jay.
We see you, Jay.There are a couple of bread crumbs leading us to a new album from Jay Z. Last month, Swiss Beatz gave us a heads up that the Roc Nation boss is in "Album ModeZone." Jay is also headlining the 2017 Made in America Festival and the Austin City Limits tour this summer. The latest clue? A bunch of 4:44 ads have popped up on hip-hop websites such as Complex, 2DopeBoyz and The Undefeated.
