Janet Jackson is making a comeback.
Last year, the pop star cancelled the duration of her Unbreakable Tour to start a family. "I thought it was important that you would be the first to know my husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour," she told fans. In the time since, Janet gave birth to a baby boy and split from her husband. There were rumors she resented him for controlling her image and tarnishing her brand.
Now, Janet can do as she pleases. That includes taking her newborn son on the road. Rumor has it Janet will make good on her word and kick off another world tour. Some fans are claiming their tickets for postponed dates received an update on Ticketmaster today (April 14). As it stands, the show is getting a facelift. It's now called the State of the World Tour, a track title off 1989's Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814. Here's a screen cap from a user claiming their Fort Lauderdale show was updated to this December. Another claims their Portland date moved to September.
Last year, a rep for Live Nation had this to say: “The Janet Jackson Unbreakable tour in North America will be postponed until 201. New dates will be announced at a later time, and tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase.”
Janet reflected that. "I have not forgotten about you," she said. "I will continue to tour as soon as I possibly can."
