Ellen DeGeneres seems to be the go-to talk show host to reveal a Las Vegas residency.
Case in point: Britney Spears and Mariah Carey. Earlier this week, DeGeneres' show website updated their list of guest appearances for the week and La Lopez is set to grace the show on Friday (May 15) with "news for Ellen" as well as an extra special performance of her greatest hits.
If you remember correctly, Lopez took over Sin City on New Year's Eve for a one-off private-ish show at the Colosseum inside Caesars Palace, where BreatheHeavy witnessed the entertainer crank out all her hits in front of thousands of spectators. Shortly afterwards, it was reported that Lopez had some crazy monetary demands and then Mariah Carey came into the picture. Before you knew it, the rumor mill turned it into some sort of diva vs. diva race.
Back in April, the Las Vegas Sun reported that Lopez was still set for Sin City with a mid-May announcement. But instead of taking over the Colosseum, Lopez's show would find a home at the Axis theater during the dates Brit Brit has off.
Lopez's appearance on Ellen is just one of the many things she has on her plate. Not only does she appear on Prince Royce's new single "Back It Up" alongside Pitbull, but she'll serve as a judge on the final season of "American Idol" and is set to premiere her new NBC show "Shades Of Blue" sometime mid-season. Boy, do I feel unproductive.
