Iggy Azalea Has Responded To Azealia Banks’ Collab Request

A song with Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks could happen, but should it?

Azealia Banks is very talented, but her antics and ignorance casted a dreary shadow over her rising career and it's left the rapper quite vulnerable.

I can't get into the million controversies she stirred up for herself in the last couple of years, but I have time for one: her beef with Iggy Azalea. BuzzFeed has a detailed timeline of the drama through 2014 which you can read here.

In 2015, Iggy tried defending herself: "We don’t like each other on a personal level, and that has gone on for many years -- before the Black Lives Matter incident happened," she told Billboard . "So when I dismissed her, people started to think that I dismissed the whole movement, but I wasn’t trying to dismiss Black Lives Matter -- I was trying to dismiss her because it's our personal shit. I don't think the subject matter of her tweet was invalid; I just think it was emotionally charged and driven by something else, and the whole thing got so misconstrued. I just wish I had acknowledged the issue head-on because it made people think I don’t care about what’s going on socially and what’s happening in America, and I do care. Even though I still hate Azealia Banks, I wish I had said it in a way that didn't make people think I was oblivious to the movement."

Two years later... Iggy's life made a 180, and she doesn't have the time nor the energy for hate. The Australian rapper is responding to Banks' desperate plea for a collaboration together on Banks' song "Anna Wintour" – which sounds like the best and worst idea of 2017.

She wrote out some thoughts on the Notes app on her iPhone and shared it on SnapChat.

“I just want to say FYI; re A. banks. Call me crazy but girl; I don’t hate you. I don’t know you to hate you," Iggy starts.

"I believe you may want to meet me in person so you can steal a lock of my hair and was a spell hoping I die (lol)
I don’t agree with many of your opinions but honestly, At times I empathize with you as a creative Gemini woman.

I wish you had spoken to me before deciding I was out to get you when we first came on the scene, but that’s also typical gemini reaction shit (I get it)

As a 27 year old adult woman just know: I wish you well from one human to another & joke collaboration or not as adults we should move past trivial beef with strangers."

Iggs handled that with class! See Banks' pleas below.

It's a no from me.
