Last month, Iggy Azalea performed at the Dragonland Music Festival and laid the groundwork for her new single "Mo Bounce." The Australian rap princess shot a music video during that trip, taking to the streets of the city to show off her best assets.
The Lil Internet-directed video has no shortage of twerking. When Iggy isn’t sitting back like a boss bitch rapping over the Stereotypes and Far East Movement’s infectious beat, she’s shaking what her mama gave her.
During her interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Iggy explained the direction of her forthcoming album Digital Distortion shifted after her breakup. She scrapped all of the songs but one (“Team”) and started from scratch. As she put it to Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Iggy started from scratch. “I promise you I had my whole record down and I scrapped the entire thing,” she says. “It was good stuff, it’s not even that it was bad!” She adds “Team” will still make the cut. “I just had a lot of life changes right before I was supposed to drop my album, and I thought, ‘you know what? This is no longer reflective of what I want to say or what I want to talk about or who I am.’”
She added: “It’s summer and I just wanted to twerk in a video!” she said. “Like, I’m single. I wanna have a good time.”
Time to get wild:
