Iggy Azalea Clarifies Demi Lovato Statement + New Song "Zillion"

Iggy Azalea has a new buzz single and music video planned for a song titled “Zillion.”

But first, let’s address those collaboration rumors.

Demi Lovato might’ve flubbed up during her recent interview with MTV where she admits Iggy Azalea rapped a verse on a new song titled “Kingdom Come” off the forthcoming record Confident out in October.

She said, “When we finally made the decision of which songs were making the album I said ’OK I want her on this one.’ So I called her and was like, ’Hey will you do a song?’,” Demi said. “And she’s like, ’Yeah sure I’ll go into the studio tonight.’ I was like, ’Do you want to hear it first?’ She’s like ’No it’s cool,’” Demi said, adding that her verse “fit perfectly.” “I’m like you’re an amazing friend and I love you.”

We wondered if that was actually something to boast as it implies just any ol’ rap will do. Azalea took to Twitter today to clarify Lovato’s remarks along with a bit of new information regarding her pending music.

Azalea clears up any confusion claiming she didn’t hear the song before she contributed to it, saying “I think someone that interviewed demi wrote an article that says i wrote kingdom come without ever hearing the music. lol. She meant i agreed to do the song without having heard it first, not that i recorded and wrote it sans song and music. thats impossible. VERY cool… hahaha. BUT, impossible.”

Demi said of the song to Billboard ahead of her VMA performance with Iggy (which she claims she was invited to do only four days before the show). “It sounds awesome,” Lovato remarked, “and I’m really excited for everyone to hear it. She was really excited too — she was like, ‘I’m really excited with where your music is going.’ And to me, that meant a lot, because before I even knew Iggy I was a big fan, and so it was really cool to hear her say that. Our sounds really meshed well.”

New Music:
The Australian rapper also took a moment to fill fans in on what she has planned next, including her new buzz song titled “Zillion.” She Tweeted, “I have decided i will release a buzz track & video fairly soon so my fans can get an understanding of what this new album sounds/looks like. To answer some questions ive seen pop up: No, its not going to be my first single. it is intended only as an introduction.

Back in August, Azalea revealed she plans to return to music in 2016 with a new album featuring 10 songs – six of which are already finished and won’t feature a deluxe edition.

And absolutely no filler songs.
