Last year, Stefani told Zane Lowe in a Beats 1 radio interview: “I think I have enough for probably two albums. I have to write a few more songs, because I feel like, might as well keep going while it’s there. I had a whole record in eight weeks,” she said, adding “but I want to keep writing. You have to understand how much I couldn’t write, and then all of a sudden I’m writing, writing, writing.”
Stefani describes the song, reportedly written by Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter (Justin Bieber's "Sorry") and produced by J.R. Rotem, as a “really happy song.”
