Gwen visited GMA this morning to perform and talk about how she turned her pain into a Number 1 album.
Following her appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Gwen brought her joyful performance of 'Make Me Like You' to Good Morning America. In addition to performing, Gwen sat down for an interview where she described her feel-good track about her relationship with Blake Shelton as "one of my favorite songs to write".
Although her latest single is a happy declaration of love, the same cannot be said for all the songs on her new album This is What the Truth Feels Like, which also documents her painful divorce from Gavin Rossdale. The "Misery" singer recounted how she used her pain to create her album and reveals that she is grateful for what she's been through: "Because if I didn't do that, then I wouldn't have this. And so you have to be grateful for all of it."
Her album went on to debut at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 but Gwen insists that when she first entered the studio, creating a commercially successful album was the farthest thing from her mind. All she hoped to do was tell her truth: "I don't care about anything except for getting this out, and, like, healing, and being honest, and real, and truthful."
